Step #1 my Approach
Leading groups of middle school or high schooler's into nature on week long backpacking trips.
Actuelle organization doing this True Elevation in Durango CO https://www.trueelevation.org/
Step #2 Research
True elevation started in 2011 with T downing, and Trey. T Downing always had the idea of making a wilderness camp program that would be focused around God, and wilderness adventure. He made this dream a reality with the help of trey a good friend from first baptist church of Durango, and Taylor a man about to graduate college who was ready to do something in his life.
Today this company has sadly started to fade because of new developments in T’s life, and his friends.
True elevations mission is “TO LEAD PEOPLE TO CHRIST THROUGH EXPLORATION AND ADVENTURE IN THE WILDERNESS.”
The results here is a quote from Rebeka one of the guids for true elevation
“Up until about two years ago, you would have never seen her outside. She hated insects, camp food, and couldn’t bear the idea of not taking showers! But the Lord has slowly been shaping her into the woman He wants her to be. She went on her first True Elevation ABC trip the summer of 2014. Now, she wants nothing more than to be outside with her heavenly Father.
The way True elevation works. They take groups of middle school and high schoolers into our own backyard on backpacking trips.
True elevation supplies all the gear, food, transportation, and guides the only things families need to do is pay a relatively small fee and their kids can enjoy a wonderful week in nature away from society and phones.
The leaders at the beginning of the trip take all the kids phones, watches, and any sort of technology that isn’t medically necessary to completely remove anything that could take their attention away from their experience.
Step #3 My Analysis
Some parts where they could grow
How am I going to apply this to my proposal

Step #3 My Analysis
- I love this design and framework to get kids outside and into nature.
- Not only do they just take some kids to a lake or cool trail around town they go sometimes deep into the backcountry to give these kids the ultimate experience.
- The whole point of the trip is to let kids see the beauty of our world and the power of the one who made it.
- I have never met anyone who has gone on a true elevation trip, and not seen the perspective change on life nature, and God.
Some parts where they could grow
- They only offer one middle school and high school trip a year and that's it. I think that this limits them, and their is the problem of money because they don’t charge a whole lot of money to go one these trips.
- The trips are only in the summer mainly. They do have one or two couple day trips for adults like men and women trips but these also only happens once a year.
- Stability. Right now the company isn't going anywhere because of things going on in the leaders life’s.
How am I going to apply this to my proposal
- This is basically my entire proposal I made this project center around my senior project, and for my senior project I want to help this organization get back on their feet and back to throwing kids into nature, and watching them grow.
